Inner City Cultural Center II is proud to present Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology created by Tuesday Conner. This is a one of a kind theatrical reinterpretation of the late great poet and songwriter Gil Scott-Heron - the man Melody Maker called "the most dangerous musician alive" and many dubbed the forefather of rap music because his lyrics reflect the turbulence and uncertainty of our times, with a satirical edge told in the tradition of oral poetry and storytelling.
Live on stage sharing stories, memories, poems and songs Gil Scott-Heron’s daughter Gia Scott-Heron and a fierce band of spoken word artists from Leimert Park are Spittin’ fire and blazin’ stages on a worldwide tour.
